Kindergarten

It is at the kindergarten where everything starts…

In a welcoming environment, the spaces and the routine are organized to promote learning through play nurturing the childhood culture, favoring social interaction, the exploration of diversified materials and the exposition to different languages, such as art, literature, music and movement. Children go through experiences that stimulate their curiosity, to survey the hypothesis, the observation and investigation of environmental phenomena. The purpose is to guarantee that children are acting upon the construction of their knowledge, providing a holistic development (cognitive, affective and psychomotor).

The development of language is essential in such a phase of life and is fostered by the daily interaction with the English language in the school routine, familiarizing the child with the language. The bilingual approach develops the child’s self-confidence, as well as their oral understanding and their ability to communicate creatively.
